Winehouse, was held in London, England today, as the singer was found dead on Saturday, July 23, 2011, of a suspected drug overdose. Dozens of Winehouse's family and friends, came out to pay their respects and bid her farewell.

Winehouse's ex-husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, who publicly admitted he introduced the once healthy singer to heroin and crack-cocaine, marking a massive downward spiral in her life and career, was barred from the funeral by her family and denied permission to leave prison to attend the funeral.

No official cause of death has been determined at this time, due to the autopsy being branded "inconclusive." Standard toxicology tests are underway, with the results expected in several weeks. Winehouse leaves behind an estate worth millions and numerous unreleased songs.

Her story should serve as a sobering reminder to many of the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse, as Winehouse had so much to live for, but due to not embracing the importance of remaining sober, lost her life. This really is a tragic waste of life, because as accomplished as she was in her chosen profession, there was still so much more she could have done over time, with the talents God gave her. Drug and alcohol abuse brought it to a halt.

It is full time the entertainment industry started doing more to keep artists drug free. It is ridiculous the number of entertainers that have overdosed. The National Basketball Association in America has taken a proactive role in educating athletes on the dangers of fame and wealth. It's time the music, film and television industries in Britain and America do the same.

Singer Amy Winehouse, 27, has been found dead at her home in Camden Square, North London. A Metropolitan Police spokesman confirmed that a 27-year-old woman had died in Camden and that the cause of death was as yet unexplained. Winehouse had won widespread acclaim, aged 20, with her 2003 debut album, Frank. But it was 2006's Back to Black which brought her worldwide stardom, winning five Grammy Awards.

The troubled singer made her last public appearance on Wednesday night when she joined her goddaughter Dionne Bromfield on stage at The Roundhouse in Camden. The singer danced with Bromfield and encouraged the audience to buy her album in the impromptu appearance before leaving the stage. The troubled singer had a long battle with drink and drugs which overshadowed her recent musical career. She pulled out of a comeback tour last month.

It is so sad about that Amy Winehouse is dead at 27. I bumped into her when visiting in the London Clinic, Harley Street, December a year ago and she looked so much better as if she was really on the mend. Her drug use had given her chronic emphysema, a lung disease more commonly associated with people who are 40 +. As always we should remember addiction is a disease, not a choice. She was a great talent and this is a terrible waste of a young life.

Al respecto, aseguró que estoy abierta a todo y me encantaría trabajar en una comedia romántica, especialmente si se aparece a la película Notting Hill protagonizada por Julia Roberts y Hugh Grant.

Agregó que también estoy interesada en aparecer en películas de bajo presupuesto, porque me gustaría vivir una experiencia diametralmente opuesta a la que he vivido en los grandes estudios de filmación de Harry Potter.
